Today Saturday 9/26/2009
Today we cleaned out the garage a bit, and I worked on my Econ final. I then pondered a lot about whether I’ll ever really finish my graduate degree at the rate I’m going. It feels so far away (if I keep taking one class at a time, it will take me another 3 years!!!). In the meanwhile its kinda fun when it doesn’t suck.
I also read a bit more of The Omnivore’s Dilemma. So far its good, not great, but I’m just in the beginning. The author has a writing style that makes me think he’s super intelligent. I’ll be happy to get through that and In Defense of Food so I can get back to the Twilight Series. [Yes I am a grown adult woman who enjoys the Twilight Series!]
I promised myself I would not buy any more books until I read the ones I have!
Today there was all kinds of snacking.
- Breakfast: 2 peices toast with earth balance spread, 2 double espressos
- Late morning snack: 1/2 cup Kashi Honey Cereal, 1/2 cup Trader Joe’s High Fiber Cereal, 1/2 cup Almond Milk
- Midday snack: Trader Joe’s popcorn and Coke (studying fuel that didn’t work – I fell asleep in the middle of the day!!)
- Afternoon snack: a few pretzel slims and a bit of Trader Joe’s spicy egg salad
- Dinner: Rubios Gourmet Grilled Taco (Portobella and Poblano) with no cheese, Side Salad with Chipotle Sour Cream dressing
- Dessert: Yogurtland peanut butter and coconut fro-yo with chocolate sprinkles and reese’s peanut butter cups as toppings
Total calories: 1847
Needless to say I’m so full!
Can I ask, does it bother anyone else when people in the self-service yogurt line touch all the handles and spoons after they have LICKED their fingers??? icky.

Breakfast: toast, earth balance, lots of espresso (no picture)
Lunch & Snack bag: Kashi Tuscan Veggie Bake; snacks were oatmeal, apple, applesauce (didn’t eat any snacks and had some sugarless gum and hard candy instead). Sorry for the blurry pic.
I came home and had some pretzel slims & spicy egg salad (see post above for picture).
Dinner: green salad with a bunch of tomatoes and Dr. Praeger’s Sweet Potato Pancakes
Total calories: 1431
Thursday – not one single picture!!
Breakfast: Toast, earth balance, espresso
Lunch: Amy’s Tamale Verde with cheese
Snacks: applesauce
Dinner: TJ’s Tuna Nicoise salad + granola bar
Dessert: bowl of cereal with oat milk

Snacks: Mini Sweet Peppers, Orange, 2 bite size candy minis (snickers & butterfinger), oatmeal
Lunch: Kashi Mayan Harvest Bake
Dinner: Brown Rice Sushi Rolls
